Contact Mimic Holds

I co-founded Mimic in 2020 with my brother Clayton, who originally had the idea to replicate outdoor climbing holds using 3D scanning and digital manufacturing. I joined because I wanted to build something with him and was drawn to the technical challenge of bringing nature's shapes to indoor climbing. These days I’m based near the Red River Gorge, raising a family and still working with digital fabrication technologies on a range of projects.

I’ve always loved the beauty of natural rock formations and climbing outdoors. With Mimic I wanted to use technology to capture the best that nature has created and bring that experience indoors to climbers who may never get a chance to visit these areas. It’s been such an amazing and creatively fulfilling experience to bring this idea to life working along side my brother, whose natural talent for engineering has made all of this possible. I’m excited for this next chapter with Rock Candy to grow and bring the vision to more climbers around the world. I am still scanning and shaping new holds for Mimic, having spent the past year on the road in a camper van exploring for new areas and holds. I’m currently living in Las Vegas working on a new series from Red Rocks.
